Bill is getting ready to leave on a 10 day TDY to the Middle East so he's home today preparing and spending a little time with us before he goes. He got up this morning and made the boys and me some chocolate chip pancakes and bacon for breakfast! *wub* Aaron has been feeding himself finger foods so he got his first taste of pancake and it was a big hit! Ian always loves pancakes, but how can you go wrong when chocolate chips are involved?

The Nasty GI Bug

Well the past couple of days have been plagued with the GI bug at my house. I had it yesterday and Ian had it today. I was sick for about 24 hours, but have felt much better since this afternoon. I even went to Mom's Night Out and had a great time. Ian, on the other hand, has been absolutely pitiful today. His poor belly is just plagued with this wretched bug. I hope he is over as quickly as I was. He's barely eaten but I know that is exactly how I felt. (I am sort of glad that I had it first since I know how it felt and it helped me with knowing what made me feel better. I guess that's the silver lining to being sick myself.)

Bill finished booking our vacation for the end of the month (March) today, too. We are going to California to visit some family and to go to DisneyLand and Sea World. When I asked Ian if he wanted to see Mickey Mouse he was not feeling well and actually said no. I know the boy is sick when he doesn't want to visit Mickey. We used our Hilton Honors points and only had to pay airfare and the rental car. Our Disney tickets should be fairly cheap since we can use the Active Duty military deal and Sea World will be free since we can use the military deal there, too.

Officially a Texan

Well at least on paper, that is! I received my Texas driver's license so I guess that makes me official! Now I just need to get my tags on my van to seal the deal!

First off I have to shout to the world that both of my children slept through the night from 8pm until 6 am! Someone pinch me!


We got up this morning and headed to library time and enjoyed that. Ian really enjoyed the songs and the parachute time with the beach balls! We then went to Chick-fil-A for lunch with the other moms and kids before coming home for naps. 3 hours later and both boys were still sleeping so I had to wake them up to go to Wazoos with another play group. Ian enjoyed bouncing around and running with the other children. We then came home and got dinner ready before Eliana came over to watch the boys while Bill and I went on date night. We ran to Temple to go to the bank and had dinner at BJs. It was yummy!

We came back to Killeen and stopped by Walgreen's to pick up Bill's script and was told that my schedule was changed. ARGH. I am not too thrilled about that, but will deal. I had to revamp a few things, but am hoping that this works out to my advantage since it gets rid of the 4 days in a row. We'll see!

Arithmetic

Brains and Brawn

Ian is my little brainiac. Of course I am TOTALLY biased, but I do think that he's quite advanced in verbal/math skills for a child who just turned 3 in November. Ian is spelling and reading 3 letter words pretty well and we've started math work in addition. I'm going to post a video that showcases his arithmetic prowess! :) Like I said, I'm totally biased, but I am proud of him. He does miss one problem, but gets it correct when questioned again.


Aaron is my brawny little dude. He's so much stronger than his brother ever was and I have a feeling he's going to be my athlete. He's a crawling maniac and is trying to pull himself up already! He's just over 7 months. He's into everything and he's so quick!
