It's a Joke and I'm Still Laughing!

What do you get when you kiss a Bird?

a kiss from my baby Pictures, Images and Photos

Ready for this one. It's a doozy!

You get CHIRPES. It's a CANARIAL disease that can't be TWEETED.

I saw this posted yesterday on Facebook and am still laughing hysterically at it. So stupid, but so funny to me.

Stick With Us!

We hosted a playdate today. It was a sticker playdate. I premade sticker books by taking 2 foam sheets and stapling them together with cardstock pages in between. I added foam letters to personalize them and Voila! instant, cute, easy and cheap sticker books. The kids went to town. Everyone brought stickers to share and trade and we had a ball sticking our stickers in our books.

Mad Hatter Tea Party

Today we went to a Mad Hatter Tea Party playdate at one of our friend's house. Yes, I took my boys to a tea party. No I am not embarrassed nor do I think tea parties are entirely girly. I think it's important for my boys to play with girls and learn how to be respectful of them and to also learn to use their manners. What better place to learn these things than at a tea party. The hostess made paper lanterns and set the table with real tea cups. The kids were all very well behaved and were careful with them and I am happy to report that we had no breaks or spills. Lunch was a lovely array of tea sized peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids and chicken salad for the adults. There was fruit and also veggies and dip. YUM. Tea was really apple juice in the cups and for dessert there were chocolate cupcakes! YUM The kids had a great time and enjoyed playing together afterwards.

Spring Break Zoo Trip

Today we headed to Waco for a little trip to the Cameron Park Zoo. It was such a beautiful day outside and it couldn't have been a better day to go visit the animals and meet up with friends. This zoo is on the small side of zoos, but it has plenty to see and do and the kids always enjoy it. They have a little playground that is always a hit and also a slide through the river otter exhibit which thrills little ones. Today Ian said his favorite was the elephant. Aaron LOVED the slide. I had to go with him and we slid pretty fast and he would say WHEEEEE and giggle the whole way down. It made for a very happy Aaron and a very tired Mommy.

Spring is Here!

Well it was nearly 80 degrees outside today, so I am going to officially welcome spring to Texas. The boys enjoyed the fresh air and I got a few snapshots of them. I just love how their blue eyes pop!

It's Spring Break this week so Ian doesn't have school. We are having a playdate here on Thursday and have a couple more to attend. Should be a good week!

Vinegar

Sometimes in our life a little acidity does us some good. I see people in my life and they give you a little burn and your stomach turns a little, but it makes me reflect a bit about my own actions and attitude. Am I giving off that acidic smell of vinegar? I am being repulsive to some. A little acid goes a long way. A little can actually do good. But a lot is overpowering. A lot is seen as pungent and replusive. It reminds of sarcasm. Being sarcastic can be funny, but it can also be hurtful.

My coffee maker was on the fritz. I was upset. I spent quite a bit of money on it. I love it. I love my coffee and I want my coffee maker to do it's job. So I broke out my vinegar. I ran some through my coffee maker. I had to dilute it to do it. Pouring straight vinegar would have been too much, but diluted it worked wonders.

I sure hope that my sarcasm and humor are more like that of diluted vinegar. That it actually is seen as doing so good and lightening the mood rather than been pungent and rude.
