Flowers of Oahu

 


So as to keep my promise of some more photos from beautiful Hawaii, here is a collage of some of my favorite floral photos that I took while I was there. I had some free time while Bill was working so I took my camera and snapped several pictures of the beautiful flowers. I had so many that it was hard to choose the ones to put here.

So I needed some new subjects for my photography class and can always use practice so I convinced my friend, KP, to let me use her kids as subjects. She actually was needing photos of them for their upcoming birthdays so it was a symbiotic photographic relationship! LOL. Anyway, the kids did great. I just hope that I did OK. I'm learning so much, but have so much more to learn. I just need more willing subjects and time! :) Hopefully I can continue to grow and learn from mistakes. It's certainly some trial and error, but I feel like taking these little workshop classes have really given me a lot of tips and tricks that I can put into practice.

Oh Paradise! How I hated having to leave you, but you were wonderful while my time lasted!

The top 3 photos were 3 of the views from our room at the resort. Bill was sent off post when the Schofield Inn was booked solid so he managed to get a great room at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was postcard perfect! We had a lovely 2nd honeymoon and really enjoyed our time together. I have over 1000 photos to go through and I am sure I will post a few more, but wanted to at least post once before then and these pictures give you a visual of how beautiful everything in Hawaii was for us!
