We decided to venture out to the Killeen Community Center today for their Holiday Under the Stars event. It was free to the public and it also took place yesterday evening, thus the stars. We went in the broad daylight and there were no stars, but there was some fun to be had. Ian got to bounce in the inflatables, his face painted, made some crafts, rode in the little barrel train and went ice skating. The ice skating was different. It was a synthetic ice. I've ice skated many times in my life and decided to try it. It was definitely NOT like real ice skating, but Ian really enjoyed it and it was hilarious seeing him try to balance. There wasn't a lot for Aaron to do and he was pretty patient waiting for Ian to do the activities. We only stayed a little over an hour, but it was a nice outing for a Saturday afternoon!
So I was sorting through my Christmas stuff and was devastated to find that one of my boxes had gotten wet and a bunch of old photos were in that box. This photo included. I scanned it to try to salvage it. :) This is a picture of me and my cousin Brenda. She is a little less than 3 months older than me and she is the closest thing to a sister that I have. We grew up together and I totally looked up to her. We were 5 years old in this photo. It was Christmas 1979 and we are at my Grandma and Grandpa Hesler's house. Christmas so magical back then. This photo sure brought back memories!
