Toy Story Aaron

Aaron is quite the little character! I just love watching him play. He LOVES Toy Story. LOVES IT! His favorite is Buzz Lightyear, but he was MIA for this little play session. (He loves Buzz so much that he pines away to go to his babysitter's house because she has such a great Buzz toy. He runs in each day and goes straight for Buzz. She says he barely puts him down while he is there.)

You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
When the road looks rough ahead
And you're miles and miles
From your nice warm bed
Just remember what your old pal said
Boy, you've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got troubles, well I've got 'em too
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you
We stick together and we see it through
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me

Some other folks might be
A little bit smarter than I am
Bigger and stronger too
Maybe
But none of them will ever love you the way I do
It's me and you
And as the years go by
Boys, our friendship will never die
You're gonna see
It's our destiny
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me

Hello Friends

Hello Everyone.

It seems my blog has quite a few layers of dust on it. Excuse me as I clear it off. *sneezes*

We are finally here in the Syracuse NY area and are finding our footing. The kids and I have found a couple of playgroups to join and Bill is cracking away at his school work.

I haven't been able to go back to work yet because the NY Dept of Education is super duper slow. They said I probably have about 3 more weeks of waiting. :(

The kids seem to be adjusting well. They love sharing bunk beds and have an entire room for their toys and video games. They are slowly making new friends. Ian was screened and will start first grade in the fall. The birthday cut off here is Dec 1 so he was already in the 1st grade age range and then once they tested him he was so far above the kindergarten standard that it was obvious that he would be very bored in kindergarten. Kindergarten is only half day here so I am sure it would have been odd to go from full time to part time for him though I do find it bittersweet that he is skipping K-5. I'm just glad to know that between MCA in Texas and me working with him that he is doing very well academically.

So there's your update.

Have I Fallen Off the Face of the Earth?

Well, not exactly, but I don't have an address and technically I am a vagabond.

The Army came and picked up our household goods on Wednesday and we've been roughing it in various hotels since then.   We stayed in Special K for the first few nights, but decided to make a little weekend trip to Arlington/Grapevine for the weekend with some special friends.  We are having a good time.  We went to the ballpark yesterday and will be going to the Great Wolf Lodge later this afternoon to do some swimming.

The kids are maniacs.  You can tell they have been cooped up in confined spaces for too long.  Hopefully swimming will wear them out.

So anyway, I'm fine.  The family is fine.  We're just living a little wacky right now.  If you'd like to follow our adventures, I invite you to follow us on our traveling gnome blog at  The Adventures of Steve: The Gnome Away from Home.  He will keep you up to date on your daily doings.  :)

In the meantime, Happy Easter!

88/365

Wow! It's going to be a whirlwind winding down here in Texas. I turned in our notice to vacate today so it seems more real. I have no clue where we are going to live in NY. I'm a little stressed about that. Still no pharmacist license. I'm stressed about that. And I have way too much to do to get ready. But I'm trying to relish the fact that the Bulldogs are in the Final 4 and I can go to the Championship game if the can just win on Saturday and that I have a little time left here to see friends before I go.

Day 80 - I'm a Sore Loser and Other Nonsense

Hello friends! I have had a few messages asking me where I have been. Last week was Spring Break in Central Texas and I went to Florida with my family. I did keep up with my project 365 and posted my photos in the previous post.

Vacation was okay. Definitely not our best. Aaron was sick and I was carrying a wound vacuum around. It did put a damper on things, but I did get to see my good friends and spend some time with family so that was nice.

I had to fly back on Wednesday because my employer wouldn't authorize my vacation time off which pissed me off to put it bluntly. But what can a girl do? So I left the family in Orlando and flew home to Texas to work Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. I also saw the doctor a couple of times and did 2 photo shoots and a photo walk so I was plenty busy! That's why there haven't been any posts until now.

I'm happy to report that I was discharged today from the wound care clinic with a shirt that says "I'm a sore loser." Ha ha. I thought it was nice that they did that. So glad they were able to help me heal. I do have a little more to close totally but bandaids and neosporin should do the trick.

It looks like we should finally get orders for our PCS sometime this week or next week. I have so much to do between now and then.

So anyway, I'm back. Thanks for asking about me. Hopefully I can stay up to date as we move forward!
