Shoot and Edit Week 3- Editing with Ashley Sisk

 
 
 
 


So we're back to Thursday morning editing with Ashley Sisk. This week's theme was "what says nighttime to you" and so my first image is my Straight Out of the Camera (or SOOC) image. The image was a little dull and obviously need a bump so the second image is my white balance fix. This is just what it looked like after I took my eye dropper and touched it on the sheet on Elmo's eye. Obviously it brightened up the image, but way too much. I just wanted to show how dramatic it was to those of you that are following along, but aren't participating. I also went ahead and cropped my image to a nice 5x7 with my cropping tool. So the next image is after I adjusted my blacks and midtones, ran the noise reduction filter on Median at 25% and then put a nice warm brown color layer on at 100% on soft light setting. I actually like it like this. But just for fun, I ran My Four Hens Photography's COFFEE CREAMER Action for the final product.

Today's photo is of Baby B who is 4 weeks old today. If you look closely, you can see his mother's reflection in his eyes. Cool, huh? :)

Simplicity Photo Challenge- Something Different

Faith's challenge this week was to photograph something different. Something about the pattern of the holes in my washing machine intrigued me to try to photograph them and it came out rather unique. This is a SOOC photo so I didn't do anything to it. It's a weird perspective but that just made it even more fun to me.

These strawberries called out to me at the grocery store and then when I cut them up, they called my camera to take a picture. They were pretty delicious and gave me warm thoughts about the upcoming spring!
