We're in a playgroup and we love to host playdates. Our lastest creation was a Disney's UP pizza party at our house on Tuesday evening. First off, let me just say that if you haven't seen this movie. RUN, don't walk to the nearest store and get this adorable Disney movie. It's a heart touching story and I love it! Now that we have that out of the way, let's move on with the party!
I figured an evening pizza party would be fun so I picked a movie and just ran with it. UP was an easy choice since I do really think it's cute and how hard are a few balloons. So I bought a Balloon Time helium tank and made plans to inflate balloons to decorate. Then I got the idea to print out pictures of all the kids to hang from the balloons so that they could fly. The kids loved that! From there, a friend suggested balloon cupcakes and I volunteered her to make them. CUTE! And then I went on Disneyfamily.com and found these cute 3-D Carl Fredericksen and Russell characters that I could make. I got lucky and also found an UP coloring book that I used to create coloring pages with. And then one last minute thought was to create "Ellie badges" with a photo of a grape soda cap with a safety pin. I ordered pizzas from Dominos.com and had them delivered to my door. It totally worked! This was a super easy party to throw! It would be a cute birthday party theme since kids love balloons. (You could print out an Adventure book and have kids earn badges to win prizes if you want to "one up" me! There is a template on the Disney family site that you could easily do.)
