Mandatory Vacation

Some days just aren't the best. Some weeks are worse. Months can seem horrible and well this year just hasn't been mine. Anyway, I'm not really complaining. I'm just saying that at least there are days spotted in between that have happy moments in them.

Friday wasn't my day. At all. Things finally came to a head with work. Have you ever just gotten to the point of being FED UP? Well, let's just say that I was beyond FED UP. I've been working for this same company for what will be 15 years come July. I've gotten fed up before, but this time is different. So without going into crazy details and whaling on people in a public forum, let's just say that a mass 20 to 30 minute venting took place with my boss and I am now on "mandatory vacation" until next Sunday. Am I in trouble? NO. Is there a risk to me losing my job? Well, I suppose there always is that risk, but I think it's pretty minimal seeing that I tried to get my hours cut anyway and was told that doesn't solve the problem.

So anyway, I'm off all week. Destressing, decompressing, reflecting...

  1. I don't know all the details, but having been in the Biz, sometime insanity takes over the workplace. Taking a break and building up your own sanity will do you Good. And giving them a break will probably make them realize what a Voice of Reason you really are, even if, on occasion that Voice gets a little loud.
Enjoy your bonus break with the boys. I hope you get to do something fun.

  2. Time away is always good, forced or not. ENJOY it! I know you are a good person, even better pharmacist I would wager to bet. Believe me, we have all been there. I am certain you are far to valuable for this company to risk losing, and if it comes to this. I am even more certain that you will be snatched up right away by another.
