Vinegar

Sometimes in our life a little acidity does us some good. I see people in my life and they give you a little burn and your stomach turns a little, but it makes me reflect a bit about my own actions and attitude. Am I giving off that acidic smell of vinegar? I am being repulsive to some. A little acid goes a long way. A little can actually do good. But a lot is overpowering. A lot is seen as pungent and replusive. It reminds of sarcasm. Being sarcastic can be funny, but it can also be hurtful.

My coffee maker was on the fritz. I was upset. I spent quite a bit of money on it. I love it. I love my coffee and I want my coffee maker to do it's job. So I broke out my vinegar. I ran some through my coffee maker. I had to dilute it to do it. Pouring straight vinegar would have been too much, but diluted it worked wonders.

I sure hope that my sarcasm and humor are more like that of diluted vinegar. That it actually is seen as doing so good and lightening the mood rather than been pungent and rude.

And the Purge Continues

We are trucking right along with our 20-10 purge. There are 5 extra bags of garbage on my curb for the trash collectors tomorrow. How bad is that! Seriously, I can't believe all the junk that I pulled out that really wasn't worth saving or donating! I also have 3 very large bags for Goodwill plus a sofa slipcover and a queen sized comforter. I have a decent sized bag of clothes to give to a friend and another tote of baby clothes to give to another. I have a large bag of toys to donate to Arc of Texas through our playgroup MOMs R Us. I can officially walk into my sons' closet and can also do the same in the spare bedroom closet! This is a very good thing!

I still need to finish up the master bedroom and my closet, but otherwise, I feel very good about my purge! I am right on track to have it all done in the next couple of days. I then need to motivate myself to purge the garage!
